Hi my name is Marcia,
In my early thirties I entered into counselling as a client. I found the supportive and non-judgemental relationship extremely beneficial to my own growth. I soon realised that counselling was to become my vocation in life and so in 2005 I began my training to become a counsellor. I studied part time and qualified as a Intergrative counsellor in 2009.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, (MBACP) which means that I adhere to their Ethical Framework.
Please visit www.bacp.co.uk for further information and useful resources.
I am a member of the following counselling associations,
- AIP member (Association for Independent Practitioners).
- CCYP member (Counselling Children and Young People).
- AUCC member (Association for University and College Counselling).
I also have supervision monthly, attend regular continual development training, and have Professional Liability Insurance, which all ensure I am working within a professional manner.
